Promote Your Event

Top Tips For Pre Event Promotion
1 / Tell People That Your Event is Happening.
All too often this part of an event is overlooked, in the planning stages.
Organisations are so focused on running a good event that they fail to tell people
that it is happening and that they (the audience) can watch it either in person or
via whatever media is covering it.
2/ Promote Early and Often.
Dont just tell people on the day of the event, let them know weeks and even months in advance.
You know when the event is, its not a secret, its not a surprise.
Inform your Audience so they can save the date, book tickets and whatever
else they need to do to make sure they are able to see your event.
3 / Promote Your Event, Everywhere.
Many organisations have facebook, instagram, twitter and other social media pages,
however they fail to let anyone know what when where and how, as if it is a closely kept secret.
The goal is not to see whether you can promote your event, it is to drive the public relations
and broaden your network.
Newspapers, local media, local news, and local organisations should all be involved in promoting your event.
4 / Have Others Promote Your Event.
The best advertising is word of mouth, and the internet is the place to spread the word.
Ask your members to share the event to their networks, and think outside your network.
5/ Ask For Subscriptions In All Of Your Media.
Always think about how to build your network, with additional subscribers,
additional members, and additional viewers.
6/ Promote, Promote, Promote.
Talk to your event funders, get them to promote your event to their networks, involve
them in your prizegiving, let the world know that they support you, and let them claim
credit for their support(this is a mutually beneficial situation).
7/ Thank Your Viewers.
Thank your viewers for taking the time to watch your event, you need to help your
audience to feel that they are part of the event, where ever in the world that they may be.
Promoting Sport

Videoscene opens up a new world of opportunity for sports that would usually get overlooked, enabling sponsors and supporters wherever they are in the world to see and be a part of the action.

Generating interest

The more people that see what you do, the greater change that there will be more interest in your organisation.
By broadcasting your organisation you make it more attractive for future participants.

Recognising Support

By allowing events to be broadcast (either live or delayed), a medium is created where sponsors and supporters can be recognised for the contributions that they make to the sport.

* Live video streaming is available dependant on the location of your event, the access to internet or the availability of high quality mobile data.
